Who can order Meals on Wheels?

Prospective clients seeking government-subsidised meals must first register with My Aged Care, undergo an Aged Care Assessment, and if deemed eligible, be issued a referral to The Village Chef by Meals on Wheels.

Private clients and NDIS participants who are self- or plan-managed with Core Supports for meals can also order from us at affordable rates. Please contact us to request an information pack with pricing.

Who can order Meals on Wheels?

To order meals at a subsidised rate, you must first register with My Aged Care, undertake an aged care assessment and receive a referral to The Village Chef by Meals on Wheels.

Private clients and NDIS participants whose funding is self, or Plan, Managed can order from us on a special rate basis. Please contact us directly for more details.

How to order Meals on Wheels

Once your eligibility has been approved by My Aged Care and they have sent us a referral or provided you with a referral code, you can place your first order.

To begin, request an information pack, which contains an order and payment form.

After completing and submitting your forms, we will contact you to confirm the first available start date.

If you don’t have an information pack, please request one – include your suburb and any referral codes.

Telephone

If you have any difficulties completing or sending in forms, please tell us. We can arrange for a volunteer to assist you over the phone.

In Person

Completed forms can be given to one of our friendly volunteers, who will return them to the office for you.
